Kitesurfing, a memorable family adventure to share with our specialized gear for both kids and adults!

Contrary to what you might think, kitesurfing does not require exceptional upper body strength. In reality, all the power of the kite is transferred directly to the harness hook and distributed throughout your entire body. Your arms are only used to steer the wing.

This accessibility is such that we accompany students of all ages: from 8-year-old young adventurers to active retirees over 80 years old!

Why start kitesurfing?

Kitesurfing is much more than just a sport: it is an exceptional way to stay fit while enjoying the benefits of the outdoors. By connecting directly with the elements, you reduce stress and share unique moments with a community of enthusiasts.

It is a complete sport that engages the whole body, improves coordination, and develops balance. Above all, it is a board sport that provides extraordinary feelings of freedom from your very first successes.

Tailored Instruction for Everyone

Regardless of your age or physical condition, we adapt every lesson to your personal pace and goals. At Plein Vent les Îles, we focus on compassionate, human-centered teaching so that you can have a memorable experience in total confidence.

We take the time to understand your fears and strengths to turn every challenge into a small victory on the water. Whether you are here for a simple discovery or to become an independent rider, our customized approach guarantees constant progress through fun.

Le kitesurf en famille

What better way to strengthen bonds and share incredible moments than by learning a new sport as a family? With our team of several certified instructors, we are able to find the best option for your tribe.

Depending on the age, size, and goals of each family member, we adapt our packages: private, duo, or small group lessons. The big advantage? We can coordinate lessons so that everyone is on the water at the same time. This greatly simplifies your vacation schedule while allowing everyone to progress at their own pace.

Kitesurfing for Youth: The Perfect Time to Start

The big moment: a young student ready to try the board for the first time, accompanied by his instructor!

At our kitesurfing school, we welcome young adventurers starting at 8 years old (minimum weight of approximately 50 lbs / 23 kg). In addition to prioritizing shallow water sites, we have a full inventory of specialized equipment for children of all sizes:

  • Small-size wetsuits;

  • Booties and youth PFDs;

  • Small lightweight helmets;

  • BBTalkin communication headsets;

  • Neoprene beanies and hoodies.

Because we know children feel the cold faster, we systematically provide an extra neoprene beanie and hoodie to block the wind. Our priority is their comfort: a warm child is a child who has fun and stays focused throughout the lesson.

Fun and Child-Friendly Teaching

We have developed a lesson structure specifically designed for youth, as you don't teach kitesurfing to a child the same way you do to an adult.

To ensure their success, we use small-size kites and short-line bars that significantly reduce the power felt by the student. Our pedagogical approach is also simplified: we minimize theory to get straight to the point and encourage action.

Steering becomes a game! By turning exercises into playful challenges, we maintain their motivation and fun throughout the session.

This is why we generally recommend separate groups for children and parents: it allows everyone to benefit from a teaching method perfectly adapted to their pace.

More Than a Sport : A True "School of Life" for Kids

Beyond the physical fitness that kiteboarding provides, learning offers valuable tools for a child's development:

  • Physical level : It refines reflexes and coordination in a moving environment.

  • Psychological level : Kitesurfing is an incredible mindfulness exercise. To pilot the kite, the youth must be fully present, allowing them to completely disconnect from daily life and screens. Mastering the wind's then builds a sense of pride and self-confidence.

  • Human level : Youth learn to read the weather, channel their energy, and above all, respect the power of natural elements.
